finally, we've done it.
new EP ready. wait. not really. but we finally moved, had to. new website, new songs online. we really think they turned out nice. far from being perfect of course, but a step forward though. the songs were recorded during the last half year, however, ideas go back since the recording of the first EP.
and thats the reason for putting it out that way- we planned for a five-piece EP, but we didn't manage to finish the last track for at least 1.5 month now. sort of felt the recorded material "expiring"... and there is more going on, leaving the country for a while et al. and thus we just do it that way now. it's the 21st century anyway, so maybe the only person caring about "releases" and "albums" on this planet is me anyway.
however, there is even a cover version! who would have thought we'd do that? well, its a reference to (one of our) great influences. well, not exactly music-wise. but they we part of the game really kicking us the direction we went... so maybe we're going to get sued (which would be ridicuous, getting sued by a highly political punk band due to royalty issues), but we just had to do it. oh, I didn't tell, whom we cover...come on, it's only one click away, go to the audio-section...
anyway, we always appreciate feedback, just tell us what you think. this is it for now, we're both back to work ('money-earning' work that is) and are going to leave our "studio" for some time... but more on that later.

it's the MTV of the 00-years. its about interaction, the web is no longer a one-way ticket! well, thats what they say, at least. so let's see how long it takes to corrupt totally, but hey, this is now. and it's definately a step into the right direction, 'cause who needs a f*cking company to listen to music, and than even being not able to get in touch, both with bands and people with similar ideas and sounds in their heads...

strudlhofrecords is online, and loose leaves release their debute EP! we've finally done it. formed a band (wha...I don't like art brut), founded a label, made a diy website, recorded some songs, spamed our friends with emails that we did all these things...
well, that's supposed to be everday life in the modern days, isn't it? ya, but we like the thought, of creating something. it's somehow the freedom of doing something that you like without having any ambitions besides liking what you do...
...and we do. do you?
